Aquaflora Reference/Info Sheet

Finally did a simple ref sheet for these bbies! I'm sorry I took so long but I finally got the urge to just whip this out today TTwTT Sorry it's not the neatest/best but it's what I could manage ahaha

Anyways, this is my mermaid closed species~ You cannot make your own unless you obtain an MYO slot from me so please try not to make any mermaid designs that look exactly like these ;w; although if they're somewhat similar but have a different lore/name and all that's totally fine! I'm not claiming mermaids or general mermaid traits, just the overall design/look/lore/name for these guys.

Species Info:

Species Name: Aquaflora (from aqua = water + flora = flower)

Species Type: Mermaid

General Info/Lore: These mermaids(can be any gender/sex) are said to originate from the souls of those that have drowned in a body of water. The regrets of those who died through drowning led to the birth of these mermaids. Due to their origin, most are very gentle creatures and tend to make a habit of swimming around looking for humans/creatures that are drowning and save them. They are very agile and quick underwater which makes it easy to save drowning humans/creatures. They are usually very friendly/naive and like to approach humans but some prefer to keep their identity hidden. There are always exceptions to these though, of course. Some may be very hostile or unfriendly/anti-social but even then they probably have a soft side to them that is hidden beneath the coldness in their attitude.

Appearance: They are generally very beautiful/pleasant to the eyes and as their name suggests, their traits give them a flowery-looking image. Their fins and feelers tend to resemble leaves or petals of flowers.

General Traits: They always have ear fins, back/hip-fins, and feelers on their heads and hips. The ear and hip fins always come in sets of three fins of the same shape arranged together. Feelers are always of the same type on their heads and hips. Fins and feelers can vary somewhat in length and size but never get too long that it is an issue for movement. They all have a nice floral scent to them. They can freely switch between their mermaid and fish forms, always maintaining the same general traits.

Habitat: They tend to live in shallower waters of the seas, but some can also be found in larger lakes, rivers, and ponds.

Diet: They prefer to eat seafood or freshwater organisms, but also take a liking to fruit and sometimes even flowers.

Life-span: Their lifespan can vary but tend to be pretty long, being around the length of an average human lifespan at the least, and sometimes going into the hundreds. The length of their lives are usually dependent on the number of lives they save throughout their own lives. Every time they manage to save a drowning human or animal, their lifespan is lengthened a bit.

Threats: Sometimes they can be caught and hunted by humans due to the rarity of their species, but they also have an unnaturally fast recovery rate and, therefore, heal from small wounds and injuries quite well/quickly.
